Local artist and graphic designer Cryssy Cheung is blowing up a little, and we sure do like that. Several of the pieces that Cryssy showed with us at our Theory Thursday event back in June at Club 205 are now available as skins for iPhones. Here's one of my favorite works that she showed with us:

You can have this on the back of your phone. Life is good.
RJD2's all about those handcrafted beats.
APPARENTLY.
One of the most talented producers to ever do it, IMO. Glad to see that dude has been keeping busy. Here's hoping he manages to put all that gear to good use this time around (no Third Hand-o).
Awesome animated version of the best story in sporting history! Did you know that when he'd come up in the batting order they'd show his name as Ellis, D.? Epic synchronicity!
It's been over 2 years since my last release... slacker you say? But when I hit ya, it hurts. The One Hand Bandit in conjunction with Free Ice Cream brings you Hyphenated & Apostrophed. This 7 track EP consists of production from 100dBs, Sir-Real and DJ Mark 1. This should hold you over 'till dBs and I finish our 2nd LP.
If you were wondering about the title, peep the name. Hopefully folks will start getting it right. It's a free download friends, don't be stingy.
Bandit out!
Going to check this event out tonight at Cooper Union... these two graphic designers from Baltimore do really interesting things with typography. I'm no expert in that field (Ted, where you at?) but from what I've seen so far, these guys are pretty wild:

Tonight they'll be exhibiting 26 artists' tributes to each letter of the alphabet. I can't wait to see the diversity of design. For someone like me, who can appreciate great visual art but can't really make it, it's always a treat to see how designers think. The event starts at 7pm and is free. More details here.
